“…despite a forecast of rain on the way, we decided a quick overnight camping trip to one of our favorite secret lakes was in order — hoping to find more Rainbows than rain! So, leaving the wind behind in Soldotna, we headed out and weren’t disappointed when we arrived to a beautiful sunset on a calm lake surrounded by mountains still hanging on to their winter snow. After a nice dinner and campfire we slept like bears in hibernation and in the morning I found this hungry Rainbow Trout chasing a family favorite lure. The rain came with the Rainbows, but it was totally worth it. Cajun Pan Fried Trout made a nice appetizer for dinner this evening!”
